Student Services & Resources
Counseling
There are five full-time counselors at Northridge High School. Counselors are available to promote and enhance the learning process for all students through an integration of academic, career and personal/social development.
Making Appointments
Students may access their counselor by scheduling an appointment. It is the student’s responsibility to show up on time and to reschedule if they cannot make the scheduled appointment.
Schedule Changes
Schedule changes must be made within the designated registration period, which occurs before school starts, or within the first week of the semester. Changes will only be made to a student’s schedule in the following situation(s):
- If two classes are scheduled for the same block
- If only one semester of a yearlong class is scheduled
- If you have not met the prerequisite
- If you are a senior and do not have a class needed for graduation
- If you would like to change a core class to or from an honors or AP level
- If you do not have a full schedule
- If you are scheduled for the same class twice or enrolled in a class you have already passed
- If you need to accommodate enrollment in ACE, internships or concurrent enrollment courses.
Library Information
A full-time library media manager staffs the library. The library is a place for both students and teachers to access information to increase knowledge and understanding. Our library circulation features thousands of books. It also provides students with opportunities to both access and use technology to be successful.
