Student Spotlight: Bodie Wulf, Northridge High School

"Bodie was selected as a Student Spotlight for being a leader both in the classroom and in extracurriculars. His drive and passion are evident every day as he consistently shows up to be his best self, continually challenging himself to improve. He truly embodies what it means to be a Grizzly!" - Rachel Weber, Assistant Principal

Career/College Plans

I plan to attend Colorado College for my undergraduate degree, and then go to graduate school to get a P.H.D. in Philosophy, Economics, or Political Science so I can become a policymaker working on behalf of the LGBTQIA+ community and the climate.

Favorite Subject

My favorite subject is history. One reason that humans have been so successful as a species is because we can spread knowledge between generations. Learning from the past is a privilege. The information I learned in my high school history classes is interwoven with skills learned in other classes like Economics, English, and Sociology. I also just find it very interesting to try to imagine the past.

Favorite Teacher

Mr. Fulton is my favorite teacher because he encouraged me to pursue one of my greatest interests: politics. AP United States Government was one of my favorite classes because of how much it made me question my previously and strongly held beliefs. Mr. Fulton is thoughtful, hilarious, thought-provoking, and wise, making him a truly memorable professor. AP Government and Politics club are activities that, unlike other classes, I wish wouldn’t end.

Hobbies

My most recent hobby has been the college admission process. Though I do love cycling, running, reading, writing, listening to music, going for walks, drawing architecture and spending time with my close friends.

Favorite Food and/or Restaurant

My favorite restaurant is First Watch. My favorite food is Sushi, but only if I am eating it with my friends.

Favorite Movie or Television Show

My favorite movie is Call Me By Your Name because it consists of beautiful cinematography, settings, and music, a unique plot progression, multiple languages, and Timothee Chalamet.

Personal Goals

My personal goals: Get more fit, improve my diet, get into college, be a better friend and spend time with my close friends before we go to college.

The Best Thing About My School

My favorite aspect of Northridge is the teachers who try their hardest to leave lasting impacts on their students both academically and personally. The work of the teachers at Northridge does not go unnoticed.
